Every year Northern Gas Networks invests £80m across the north of England to replace old metal gas pipes with new safer and more reliable plastic ones. Some of this needs to be carried out during school holidays. Their Playsafe Staysafe programme teaches children about the dangers of playing near road works. Every year, Northern Gas Networks’ customer liaison officers give presentations to around 20,000 pupils across our region. Broadcast Media Services took a song written to support the gas mains investment and with the help of some schoolchildren, made a gentle video viral for use by Northern Gas Networks as part of the campaign.
